NCF Northwest Team Update

by NCF Northwest  |  October 23, 2017

Welcome to the SEASON of GIVING!

As 2017 comes to a close, we are looking forward to a busy fourth quarter as many of you make year-end contributions to – and grants from – your NCF Giving Fund. We have made quite a few changes to the NCF Northwest team this year and we feel we are poised to serve you with excellence.

Here is a team update:

Kendra VanderMeulen, President of NCF Northwest, celebrated her 10th anniversary with NCF in August. She is encouraged by the growth of the generosity movement in the Northwest and is emboldened to see it expand throughout the 5-state region in the coming years. Kendra’s focus is on supporting the rest of the team and working with property owners and business owners who wish to make gifts of Real Estate, Business Interests, and other Complex assets. Kendra and her husband, Bill, are looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season with their adult children and two rambunctious grandsons.

Bob Mumford is VP and Relationship Manager for NCF Northwest in the Portland office.  He ‘learning a ton’ and truly enjoying meeting with NCF Givers in the Portland area, their professional advisors, and friends of the Foundation. Bob and his wife, Beth, are cherishing every moment at home with their youngest daughter (HS Senior!) but they are also envisioning how fun the empty-nest stage will be.

Katie Kavehrad is now the NCF Northwest Director of Business Development. She is working from home a few hours a week assisting Bob in reaching and serving more generous givers and their Professional Advisors in the Portland area. Katie is looking forward to her first holiday season as a family of three and is also so grateful to remain part of the NCF family serving givers and celebrating generosity.

Joe Eelkema serves the friends of the Foundation who live outside of the Seattle-Tacoma metro area.  In his role as a relationship manager he shares ideas for simplified, leveraged giving with generous Christians and their professional advisors. Joe’s BHAG is to see pockets of Believers in Washington growing together in community and actively exploring the generous life together!  When not on the road or in coffee meetings, Joe also enjoys spending time with his growing family, running trails, and tinkering around the garage.

As Director of Giver Services, Beverly Beppler is your contact for all your day-to-day giver support needs. Bev has been assisting givers in the Pacific Northwest since 2008 so she is well-versed regarding the ins and outs of gifting and granting at NCF. She can answer your questions about cash gifts, Stock/Mutual Fund gifts, year-end grants, navigating your Giving Fund, or anything else NCF-related. Bev relishes the busy Advent season with its abundance of opportunities for baking, traveling, and celebrating with family and friends.

In order to serve you better, we have consolidated our contribution check and stock gift processing to the Seattle office.
Please mail all contribution checks to:

Multiply your impact
If you're like most people, almost all of your wealth is tied up in your assets like stocks, business interests, or real estate, while only a fraction is in cash. And yet, all your giving is coming from that tiny piece of the pie. What if you ... read more
